When it comes to garden makeovers, few do it better than Ashley at East Shore Home. With a keen eye for design and a love for low-maintenance solutions, she recently took on a garden renovation project and brought Easihold along for the ride. The result? A beautiful, practical, and pet-friendly outdoor space that stays neat and natural all year round. Here's how she did it...

What stones did you use?

“I used Yorkshire cream gravel from JT Doves. It has a lovely blend of cream and light/dark brown tones that give a modern, natural look. The chippings ranged from 10–20mm, perfect for defining pathways and garden borders.”

 Why did you choose Easihold?

“I’ve used it before and loved it! It’s so simple to apply, non-toxic, and pet-friendly (which is great for my parents’ dog). It really does keep the stones locked in and tidy. I knew I had to use it again for this project.”

How did you prepare the area?

“First, I removed all the old grass and cleared the new border areas. I edged the borders with block paving stones to separate the lawn and borders clearly. After planting, I laid a weed membrane and secured it with metal prongs before adding the stones. I gave them a thorough hose down to remove any dust and waited for them to dry completely before applying Easihold.

What method did you use to apply Easihold, and why?

“Since it was a large area, I found the spray pump method most efficient. I’ve also used the watering can and bucket-mix methods in the past, but the sprayer gave great coverage and used the least amount of product.”

What sprayer did you use?

“Yes, a 5-litre pressure pump sprayer from Amazon, the brand was Ansio. It was simple to use and worked really well.”

How did you compact the surface?

“I used a flat trowel and pressed down on the stones repeatedly to make sure they were tightly compacted.”

How was your experience buying Easihold from The Range?

“At first, I couldn’t spot the stand, it was a big store. A member of staff pointed me in the right direction and I found it in the outdoor garden centre section. They had plenty of 5L bottles but no smaller ones. I’d definitely recommend using the stock checker tool on The Range’s website before heading in-store.”

Did you clean your sprayer after use?

“Yes, I rinsed it a couple of times and pumped water through the hose to clear the nozzle, super easy.”

 Final Thoughts-

“Make sure to apply on a warm, dry day with no rain forecast for 24 hours so the product can fully cure. Smaller stones give a tighter bond, and the finish leaves a lovely soft sheen that enhances the stone’s natural colour.”
